4 the Faders. How did u get out leading the cong in prayer while fading?
by blkblk13 ini've always had serious doubts but now that i am @ a point in my life were my parents have helped me to purchase my first place and now that i am no longer under their wing i feel like i am in a position to start doing something about it.
nothing drastic but just the beginnings of a gradual fade b/c i don't want to humiliate them in the circuit b/c they r very well-known and admired in the circuit, plus i owe them alot and am still a little financially dependent on them.
so my dad is an elder and conducts the bookstudy.

But, to answer your concern, if I were you, I would simply
pray about what you are sure about.
Thank the Divine for life, etc., and don't talk about the
Faithful and Discreet Slave or anything you don't feel
comfortable about. Just speak the truth.
When you Dad is tired of hearing the same prayer, he will
quit trying to prop you up. -

One time, and this wasn't even when I was fading, I told the brother
that my head wasn't in it. He looked so amazed that someone would
decline, that it took him a while to recover from the shock. I am very
sincere about things like that, and wish others were. Oh, well. -

1 John 4:1
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. -

Awakend at Gilead inspires me to speak frankly with my wife........
by oompa inhad a nice long talk with him yesterday....he sure seems to be on the fast track all of a sudden , but actually has shared doubts with his wife for years.
but once he makes up his mind....man he really moves.
so some of my elders know i think it bullshit, but i did not just come right out and say it.

Make movement towards that sailing goal. A dollar here, a penny there. I hope things improve. Don't let anything (substances, people etc.) rule your life. Truth in Recovery

I made a few arrangements for classical guitar. (I play bass mainly)
It is hard when you are trying to express yourself within the confines of
that lame construct. He is doing his best. hahaha -

What is the best way to help Fundamentalist Literalist Christians...
by BurnTheShips ini would like to discuss what is the best way to help fundamentalist literalist christians lower their guard and embrace science as it reveals the physical world to us?.
of course the key scientific teaching that causes a sticking point is evolution, not to mention other things such as the age of the universe.. burn.

I wouldn't agree about evolution.
Many scientists don't embrace evolution (adaptation doesn't equal mutation, etc.).
The age of the universe is good, though. -
